Hello. I'm Abhinav, a product designer.

I design flows people actually finish.

Nine years across fintech, agritech and healthcare. Ten million people use the app I redesigned, and the loan flow I drew from nothing cut drop-off by 85%.

Selected work

Four problems, and what changed.

Every one of these opens with the result, because that is the part you came for. The reasoning is underneath it if you want to check my working.

Axio app screens showing the budget home and the pay later flow.

01

Ten million people, one financial home screen.

Axio · FinTech · Mobile app

Two products with two mental models lived behind one app icon. I folded credit into the budgeting app so a purchase shows what it does to your month before you confirm it.

85% fewer people quit the loan application.

Protium · FinTech · Responsive web

A personal loan flow drawn from a blank canvas and ordered so it earns every question it asks. Identity first. Money questions once trust exists.

TVS Connect concept screens for a connected motorcycle app.

Forty screens became four ideas.

TVS Connect · AutoTech · Concept

An audit of a connected bike app, four competitors benchmarked, three rider archetypes, and one four pillar structure the whole pitch could be briefed against.

The Tamkeen design system: colour, typography, components, a data table and a bilingual toggle.

04

One system, two scripts, two products.

Tamkeen · Design system · Client work

Bahrain's Labour Fund needed tokens, components and the patterns they form, holding across a public portal, an internal review tool and a print house. Nobody has to ask which red.

Have a go

TVS Connect · concept, not shipped

The same screen, rebuilt.

On the left is the TVS Connect home screen as it shipped. On the right is what I proposed after auditing it. Drag the line across.

The home screen I proposed: the bike, its live status, and recent rides.
The TVS Connect home screen as it shipped: a profile card, a help banner and a grid of twelve tiles.
Shipped My proposal
  1. 01

Twelve tiles and no priority. A rider opening the app could not tell what mattered, so the new home answers the only question they actually have: is my bike ready.

  2. 02

The main action was a banner nobody pressed. Live vehicle data moved above the fold, and service, documents and rides moved into their own pillar.

  3. 03

One type scale instead of none, and the red used once rather than everywhere, so it means something when it appears.

How I run a project

Slower at the start. Much faster by the end.

Nobody relitigates the flow three weeks before launch, because the flow was argued about and tested while it was still grey boxes.

Research

Interviews, stakeholder workshops, affinity mapping. Finding out where not to spend time.

Structure

Information architecture, user flows, the order questions get asked in.

Design

Grey box wireframes first, interactive prototypes, then the visual layer.

Validation

Task based usability testing on the prototype, before anything gets built.

Validation loops back to structure, not to visual design

About

Money, health data and harvests.

I have spent nine years designing products that handle people's money, health data and harvests, which means the stakes for getting it clear are always real. Across fintech, agritech, healthcare, edtech and NFT platforms the brief changes and the job does not: understand the person well enough that the interface disappears.

Most recently that has meant rebuilding a buy-now-pay-later and expense tracking app used by millions, and drawing a personal loan flow from zero for a lender to small businesses. Both shipped. Both moved real numbers.

I build design systems because I would rather answer a question once than forty times. I have run discovery workshops and mentored teams of designers alongside the hands-on work, never instead of it.
